Jaguar, Land Rover models launched in India

Tata Motors formally launched the luxury cars in India at Mumbai, June 28 (IANS) nearly 16 months after getting hold of the iconic Jaguar and Land Rover brands. Tata Motors chairman Ratan Tata said at first that three Jaguar and two Land Rover models would be presented in India. While Jaguar models will be on hand in the price range sensible of Rs.63-92 lakh, the Land Rover will be in the range of Rs.63-89 lakh. He also said that the finance options will be accessible from Tata Motors. Moreover he added that he thinks the cars will show signs of the levels of technology and levels of performance here. Jaguar Land Rover managing director Phil Popham said that the models would soon be on hand in five to six cities initially. Tata Motors got hold of Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford Motor Co for $2.3 billion in March last year.
